My name is Heidi Baxter, I thought that I would start off my blog by sharing a little bit about me:). I am 36 yrs old and have 4 precious kids and a wonderful husband who have hung in there with me through the many attempts made to improve my health and loose weight.  Growing up my family was really worried about my health. My problem with my weight felt to me like the big invisible elephant in the room.  I was about 10-20 pds over weight at any given time so a lot of emphasis was placed on my losing weight.  I had the dilemma... Be happy the way I was, or change. It always seemed so hard to deny myself the social and emotional comfort that food provided.  Plus, I liked how I looked for the most part, and physically I felt just fine.  However, I never was able to achieve a contentment or peace about myself or overcome the weight.  So, here I am weighing over 100 pounds more than I should, with a life full of blessings I can't fully appreciate due to my huge physical set backs, and the discontentment I feel.

When Jamie and Jaelynne approached me about this idea they had I was overwhelmed and excited. I felt so blessed that they would ask me, and knew that this would give me a chance to take ownership of my life. They have assembled for me my very own amazing "dream team"  to help me in all the areas that have eluded me for so long.  I have met all my team and they are just wonderful!  It's like the puzzle pieces are finally going to come together so I can reach my goals, and I am so excited for the journey!  If you can relate to this in any way and would like to follow along with me, I will be sharing all the treasures I am learning along the way on this blog.  So, here we go, and thanks for stopping by to check us out:)

  2. Heidi, my daughter Heidi(who is all into a healthy life style) bought me a membership at the Smithfield Recreation Center. This was back in August. I have only gone about 4 times since then. I would love to go to Zumba, but I have a hard time going by myself. I would love to go with you sometime. I was told that I should get a personal trainer, but with my husband not working, I can't afford it. I went today and got on the treadmill and did some of the other weight machines. I really need to get some advice on what I need to do to lose weight and get in to shape. Congratulations for all the progress that your making Heidi! I was really surprised to see your picture up on the wall at the Smithfield Recreation Center.
