Short and Sweet!

I am feeling so good the past couple of days! I had my bi-weekly visit with my health coach Heather, on Monday.  I didn't realize how much stuff I was muddling through until I opened my mouth. It was so nice to be able to verbalize the struggles I was feeling and then have help pinpointing what key thing needed adjusting so that I could continue the fight.  Heather shared with me a bit about how in life everyone kind of fits into this space together, in regards to family, friends, work associates, you name it.  So when any one person tries to change, it's kindof hard on everyone who touches you.  Any kind of change is just not easy, so to be making hard changes and then to feel the unconscious, or even well intended resistance of those around you.... well the term "uphill battle" comes to mind in big, black, bold letters.

But opposition in all things right? Understanding that this is how it works and that there is nothing I can do about it but continue on the path I am on is actually a very helpful thing.  I am really working on my thoughts, they are what do me in.  Heather mentioned that I am continually raising my expectations immediately upon any accomplishment, so it never really feels to me like I am improving.  But when I actually talk out loud about the changes I have made with diet, and eliminated treats and exercise regiments. It puts it very clear to me that not only am I changing, but as Heather said, "You are changed!" That way I can appreciate where I am instead of kick myself because the progress isn't speady enough. Such helpful info!
OH, I almost forgot, to help make blogging a bit easier for me, if you have any questions or requests let me know.  I would love to accommodate and post here on the blog:)  I have been thinking I should post before and now pic's for sure, but am a bit shy about that;) I will, it just might be a minute.
This blogging experience is new for me.  I blogged two times back in 2004 or 5 but that ended quick, lol.  I would just love some fun ideas to try and make this a bit more exciting for readers. So I welcome any ideas.
Thanks!
Heidi

  3. First of all, thanks for writing! You are doing fabulous and I'm sure you'd be happy to know just how many people this will help. Some suggestions of topics that I'd like to read about are; A Day in the life of Heidi, or what is your favorite "new" food. Your favorite (or hardest) exercie to do or how you set up your goals etc. Thanks Heidi!
